This week we are going to touch on the subject of different types of minimalists. Since I have been on my journey I have found that the six that I touch on seem to be the most popular. I know there are many that I have left out. I look at minimalism as having so many different levels, people have to find what works for them. There is no right or wrong thinking when it comes to minimalism, If what you are doing or the way you have chosen to do it has made a positive impact in your life then thats all that matters.
1.The Minimalist Traveller
The minimalist traveller can vary from a person who lives their life with only what they can carry with them to people who have decided to live life in a camper or tiny house, giving them the ability to travel and live a more nomadic lifestyle. Both have chosen to simplify their lives and spend more time enjoying life.

Simple Living or Voluntary Simplicity encompasses a number of different voluntary practices to simplify one's lifestyle. These may include reducing one's possessions, generally referred to as minimalism, or increasing self sufficiency, for example. Simple living may be characterized by individuals being satisfied with what they have rather than want. Although asceticism generally promotes living simply and refraining from luxury and indulgence, not all proponents of simple living are ascetics. Simple living is distinct from those living in forced poverty, as it is a voluntary lifestyle choice.

3. Creating A New Beginning
Sometimes a loss in a person's life, whether it be from divorce, job loss, the loss of friendship or the death of a loved one can lead a person to want to make a drastic change in their lives. Minimalism or simpler living can give them the change or direction that they need in their lives.
4. Frugal Living
People who chose to live their lives frugally are usually the type of people who want to stretch their money as far as possible, pay off debts, save for retirement or other long term goals. Some people however have no other choice but to live frugally due to employment issues or just a tight household budget.
5. The Stimulated Minimalist
The accumulation of "STUFF" or "CLUTTER" can sometimes raise anxiety levels in people. Decluttering your space has been known to help in decluttering the mind. I know myself that I hate clutter, I find that my anxiety levels go up when I have to continuously keep moving things around to get things done.
6. The Hardcore Minimalist
Originally the hardcore minimalist would have been seen a person who had chosen a hermit stye of life, living their lives as simply as they could away fro civilization. But times have changed, they are now everyday people that have chosen to live their lives with only the necessary items or items that bring joy to their lives.
No matter what type of minimalist you are, minimalism can have so many benefits to people, whether it be more time, money or mental and physical wellbeing. I myself fall somewhere between the simpler living and the stimulated minimalist. I have found that since starting my journey that I have a much more balanced lifestyle.
