We are doing this post just for our Facebook friends, followers and those on our email list. We won’t do a lot of writing on this one, we’ll let the photos do the talking for us.
At least twice a year we try to take a road trip to Drumheller Alberta. For myself it is the scenic badlands that I enjoy. If you ever get a chance to get to Alberta then this is one of the places you should really try and see.
The town of Drumheller is located within the Red Deer River Valley in the badlands of central Alberta, Approximately 70 miles (111 km) Northeast of Calgary.
There is plenty to see and do in Drumheller, from the Royal Tyrell Museum to the Hoodoo’s.
The Royal Tyrell Museum
Named in honour of Joseph Burr Tyrell, is a centre for palaeontological research that boasts over 130,000 fossils that take you through the 3.9 billion years of life on earth.
If you take a scenic 15-minute drive east of Drumheller on Hwy 10 you will find the Hoodoo’s. The Hoodoo’s here are some of the most defined and striking ones there are in the world.
Some extra photos of the area.
I made up a video from the trip we did there last winter. It was a little to long so I will post it to the Facebook page in the next week so that you can see it. Sorry it was my first time using this action camera so its a little shaky , and it was my 1st time putting together a video so its not the greatest but there is some great pictures at the end.
Hope you enjoyed this, we just wanted to put something together for all of those who have followed us for so long. We just wanted to thank you.
